I’m taking a little time to focus on me. I’m not stopping my stores but keeping them steady and consistant. This is a personal choice.
Making money is still an important goal however I took a long look at where I was and decided I need to improve my health if I wanted to grow my reselling business for the long haul. I want my business to be more than a side hustle and to do that I need to be able to have the stamina to search for the right items. I need to have the mental clarity to make better choices. My priority is improve my health and change from a sedentary lifestyle to being able to last a full day when needed of traveling, sourcing and listing without feeling overly exhausted at the end of the night. I also want to be able to enjoy the places I go. To do all this definitely means to fit in exercise time. This has been a slow process, but one well worth it. I started with a 20-minute walk a few days a week and I’m now at 60 minutes, 7 days a week. I won’t lie, it’s hard work. I have a full time job and I have my reseller stores and was just exhausted by the time I fell into bed. I started to feel overwhelmed and thought I just don’t have time for working out but I somehow found the time to watch tv. Then I thought, I would do anything to be able to be healthier and enjoy the day. That’s when I realized if that was true I would figure out a way to do this. I wrote out a schedule and worked it out. I also wrote out a list of priorities and decided what I really wanted to accomplish as well as how I planned to accomplish my goals.
I want to work smarter, not harder. I want to have a better quality of life so I need to exercise and eat healthier. I want my stores to have quality items that would attract a return clientele. I also want to improve my writing and social media skills. I just have to use my time wisely. It doesn’t have to cost me money. There are many people on social media and YouTube willing to share their expertise. While not everything and everyone online will provide what I need, I take advantage of my walk time with alternating listening to other resellers and motivational speakers.
I know I can achieve my goals by taking a small step back from my store. Still keep my stores open and improve the listings and use social media to promote my stores. I definitely recommend if you are feeling a little overwhelmed, to take a step back, prioritize yours goals and you just might find a way to make time for you and enjoy what you do.
